Summit Seeker Tent: Ultralight and mighty, alrighty.

Our community asked (repeatedly), so we delivered (eventually) an ultralight tent built to be carried further.

Answering our community’s call for lightweight adventuring

Back in 2019, our Highlands Tent was an instant hit. And ever since, we received increasing community requests for an ultralight version that people could push to new heights and distances. The challenge: stripping weight from the existing design without sacrificing features. Getting there required developing an ultralight fabric that hit all the right metrics. We landed on a 15D ripstop nylon, which is waterproof rated to 2000mm. Then, alongside our tent engineer partner, Aaron and his team, we tested multiple layouts, pole structures and designs until we hit that perfect balance of lightness, durability and overall functionality.

Tested at multiple altitudes, terrains and timezones

Weighing just 1.62kg, and with packed dimensions of 56cm x 13cm, the Summit Seeker Tent is built for backpacking. Which is (obviously) something we love to do. 2 years of field testing has taken us to rugged trails and exposed ridges in Australia, New Zealand and Japan — the kinds of locations where every gram counts. And though it might have taken us a little longer than expected to nail the design, after all that arduous testing (we know, tough gig, right?) we’re confident the journey was worth it.

When we designed the Summit-Seeker UL 2P, we aimed to eliminate compromises in a backpacking tent. It’s easy to set up, packed with features for extended trips and strikes the perfect balance between a freestanding design, smart construction, and ultralight weight—without sacrificing functionality.

Lightweight beauty
Brilliant ratio between cost, weight and durability. We did research for months before deciding on this guy, and we're glad we did. Very lightweight (insanely so when you divide it between two people), sturdy in wobbly weather and so quick and intuitive to set up – we looked at the instructions once, and haven't since. Also love the colour scheme – it sounds cosmetic, but they're so cheerful when you're setting it up in the middle of a slog of a mutliday hike.

Great tent for tramping or camping adventures
We love our new tent. It is lightweight enough to take on tramping missions, but large enough to be comfortable for car camping missions too. I love the colours and the generous head height inside. Having two doors opening on either side is a great asset. We haven't propped the veranda canopy up yet, as we don't own hiking poles, but a good option to have. Tent was easy and quick to set up and pack down. Happy with our purchase.

The Perfect Bikepacking Tent!
I’ve been living out of this tent on my last few bikepacking trips, sleeping under the stars in the Gold Coast Hinterland, and waking up to the sound of birdsong. It’s just the shelter I’ve been looking for! There’s enough room to sit up and change clothes, and when packed, it’s so lightweight you barely notice it’s there. Made from tough materials, it’s incredibly durable and built to last. Offering the quality of tents that cost twice as much!

Awesome lightweight tent!
The summit seeker is a great tent! Used it for a recent overnight hike and it was super easy to carry, setup and pack away.
Same goes for the insulated mats and pillow!
