Escapade Backpack: Our old-school rucksack that gets better with age.

Inspired by the old-school rucksack designs of the 80s, the Escapade Backpack has been refined via more testing and ongoing improvements than any other product in the Zorali line.

A multifunctional all-rounder designed to go anywhere

What started as a redesign of our first backpack (the Pioneer Pack), quickly shifted into something much bolder: we wanted a versatile backpack for escapades anywhere. From a stroll in your hometown to trail days in the mountains. A backpack that holds 30 litres in volume, and has 8 pockets, but can still pack down small. One that makes a great carry-on bag for travel, but can also expand to fit a light tent plus gear and equipment due to its versatile roll-top. The Escapade Backpack was born.

Co-designed in collaboration with our customers

The original concept was a bag that distributes weight across your shoulders. Due to community input, in 2024 we added a removeable waistband for days that require a heavier load. We’ve also put a lot of focus on the shoulder straps, designed with plenty of padding and a chest clip to evenly distribute the load. Annnnd, due to feedback from our photography community, we added side straps, which work for tripods, but also for hiking poles or climbing gear. Though we love to dream up new colourways for this two-tone gem, we also love that we can barely keep up with demand for our existing colours. Keep watching this space: given the love we get for the Escapade, and how many we see out there in the world, we can’t wait to keep refining this much-loved backpack for a long time to come.

All around (the world)
I was looking for a great all-around backpack. I don't like waste, so having a bag for travel and a bag for work was not what I wanted. Instagram ads got me, and I did some research and chose this bag. About a week after I got it, I went to Paris and Turkey, and it's been great ever since. I've had it for about 2 months, and so far, so good.
One of the best things about it is that the main compartment feels like a Mary Poppins bag. I organized my packing at first, but scrambling between airports and hotels, you just kind of shove stuff in, and man can it hold.
