Is there a laptop compartment?

There is. A padded internal sleeve safely holds most laptops (up to 16”), keeping it snug and separate from your other gear — perfect for digital nomads, workations, or spontaneous cafe journaling sessions.

Is the backpack waterproof?

The backpack is made with water-resistant 1000D Oxford Nylon, which handles light rain and damp conditions. While not 100% waterproof (you wouldn’t want to submerge it), it’ll keep your essentials dry through drizzles and splashes.

Can I remove the waistbelt?

Yes — the waistband is fully detachable. Use it when you’re carrying heavier loads or heading off the beaten track, and remove it when you’re keeping things light and nimble around town.

What’s the difference between this and Zorali’s other backpacks?

Inspired by the old-school rucksack designs of the 80s, the Escapade Backpack has been refined via more testing and ongoing improvements than any other product in the Zorali line.

A multifunctional all-rounder designed to go anywhere

What started as a redesign of our first backpack (the Pioneer Pack), quickly shifted into something much bolder: we wanted a versatile backpack for escapades anywhere. From a stroll in your hometown to trail days in the mountains. A backpack that holds 30 litres in volume, and has 8 pockets, but can still pack down small. One that makes a great carry-on bag for travel, but can also expand to fit a light tent plus gear and equipment due to its versatile roll-top. The Escapade Backpack was born.

100% natural wool fabrics made by Australia

The original concept was a bag that distributes weight across your shoulders. Due to community input, in 2024 we added a removeable waistband for days that require a heavier load. We’ve also put a lot of focus on the shoulder straps, designed with plenty of padding and a chest clip to evenly distribute the load. Annnnd, due to feedback from our photography community, we added side straps, which work for tripods, but also for hiking poles or climbing gear. Though we love to dream up new colourways for this two-tone gem, we also love that we can barely keep up with demand for our existing colours.
