Daylight™

Lightweight sun-protection for all-day fun under the sun.

Daylight™ is our first sun-protection range. Light, breezy gear for long days outside, that looks just as good when you head into town after. We wore every piece ourselves for two summers before we were happy with it.

Designed for the days we move unimpeded

There is a version of ourselves that only shows up outside. Lighter, breezier, present in the moment. Our Daylight™ range is built to help amplify that feeling: deliberately light, breathable, and gently protective against all-day sun.

In Australian conditions the story's all too familiar. Sun-protective gear left us feeling hot, stiff and dressed for safari, and the light, breathable stuff offered no sun protection at all. So we spent 24 months turning our wish list into Daylight™.

The test was simple, yet brutal: if we wouldn't choose to put it on in peak summer, it was a fail. The samples went everywhere we did, from the Victorian High Country to New Zealand's South Island, and finally the Cooloola hike in peak Queensland summer. We didn't overheat, everything felt breezy, and we stayed protected.

So, that's the story behind Daylight™. Kit that's light on purpose, made by two people who wanted to stay out a bit longer. We hope it does the same for you.

Questions

Something else on your mind? Our team is always happy to help.

How much sun protection does it give?
Our woven pieces (the Technical Shirts, Motion Dress, Pants and Shorts) are rated UPF50+, which blocks at least 98% of UV rays. Our knits (the Sun Hoody, Tees and Neck Gaiter) are UPF30+ (tested at UPF34), which blocks about 97%. We chose a lighter, more breathable knit so it stays comfortable on hot days.
What size should I get?
Most pieces fit true to size, so go with your usual Zorali size. The Technical Shirts are a unisex relaxed fit in XS to XXL. For women's sizes, use this as a guide: XS = AU 6–8, S = 10, M = 12, L = 14, XL = 16, XXL = 18. The size guide is on each product page, and if you're between sizes just get in touch and we'll help.
Does it pack down?
Yes. The Technical Shirts pack into their own chest pocket, and the Motion Dress folds into its own pocket too, ready for the next trip.
What is the Polygiene fabric treatment?
Polygiene is a Swedish fabric treatment for odour control, used on the Technical Shirts and Motion Dress. It helps stop the growth of the bacteria that cause odour, so the fabric stays fresher for longer. That means you can wear it more between washes, and washing less saves water and energy and helps your gear last longer.
How do I wash it?
Cold gentle machine wash (30°C), no bleach, no dry cleaning. Hang it to dry or tumble dry on low. Care details for each piece are on its product page.
