A Story Of Gale Force Winds & A Little Champion
Over the last 4 days, I took my little guy Zoro (a very appropriate name for this tent if I do say so myself) out for the first time. I went out with my partner and another couple, and the whole first day we were heckled for the size, cost and colour of our tent. We were mercilessly bullied, but I knew what I had, so like water off a ducks back, I took these remarks in stride. We set up camp, and started cooking dinner, all the while admiring how beautiful my little man looked in the afternoon sun.
Halfway through our delectable feast of vegetable skewers, we were suddenly hit out of nowhere with winds strong enough to quite literally crack and break the trees around us, the heaviest rain I've experienced in a while and an immediate severe thunderstorm warning sent to all of our devices warning us of the potential of large hail. As quickly as possible we started packing things into our friends tent (as it was the larger of the two) and made plans to hide out in there for the evening while the rain died down.
As soon as we started packing things away, as fate would decide, their tent immediately folded in on itself, and started to be pulled away by the wind. We grabbed what we could, and threw it on the tent, all the while pegging as much of the tent down as we went (and getting absolutely drenched in the process).
