Born and raised in Victoria, the outdoors has always been where I feel most alive — whether it’s hiking remote trails, trail running, chasing waves, or sleeping under the stars. Nature’s been my place to reset, reflect, and reconnect. It’s where I go when I need clarity, creativity, or just space to breathe.
That’s a big part of why we started Zorali — to help more people experience that same sense of renewal and freedom.
I’ve worn a lot of gear over the years, but our Merino Base Layers are one of those rare pieces that truly delivers. I’ve put them through early morning trail runs, alpine hikes, and long campouts in the cold — and they’ve never let me down.
Here’s why they’ve earned a permanent spot in my pack:

#1: 100% Aussie Merino = All Season Comfort
We chose this fibre because it truly does it all. Our Woolmark Blend® certified Merino is soft on the skin, breathable, and naturally thermoregulating — so it keeps me warm on chilly mornings and cool when I’m on the move. Plus, it’s biodegradable and RWS certified, which means it’s gentle on the planet we love exploring.

#2. Reliable, No Matter the Conditions
From sunrise hikes to late-night campfires, I’ve put these layers through just about everything. They wick away sweat, resist odour, and still feel fresh after days on the road. It’s the kind of piece you can rely on without thinking twice.

#3: Light to Carry, Big on Warmth
I love how lightweight this Merino is — it barely takes up space in my pack but still delivers on warmth when I need it most. And yes, I’ve definitely slept in it more than once. It’s just that comfy.

#4: Natural Fibres Just Feel Better
There’s something grounding about wearing gear made from nature while immersed in it. 100% natural fibres help you feel more connected to the world around you — and that’s what we’re all about.

#5: So Comfy You’ll Forget You’re Wearing It
This is one of those pieces I grab for everything — hiking, lounging, sleeping, travelling. It’s become a staple not just for the outdoors, but for everyday life. Once it’s on, it’s staying on.

Co-Founder of Zorali
What inspired you to start Zorali?
It was a shared love of the outdoors. Nature has always been the place we go to feel grounded, reset, and inspired. We wanted to build something that helped others experience that same sense of renewal — whether it’s a weekend hike, a campout, or a moment of stillness outside.
What does spending time in nature mean to you?
It’s everything. It clears my mind, restores my energy, and brings me back to myself. Whether I’m hiking, surfing, or just watching the sunrise, nature is where I feel most connected — to myself, to others, and to what really matters.
What was missing from outdoor gear when you started Zorali?
So much of what we saw was overdesigned or just not something we’d want to wear. We wanted gear that was functional, stylish, and made with the planet in mind. Pieces that felt good to wear — in every sense of the word.
Zorali feels different from traditional outdoor brands. Was that intentional?
100%. For us, it’s never been about conquering peaks or breaking records. It’s about enjoying the journey, having fun, and reconnecting with the natural world. Zorali is for everyone — not just elite athletes or hardcore adventurers. We wanted to make the outdoors feel more accessible, more inviting.
How has community shaped the brand?
In every way. From the start, we’ve been building Zorali alongside our community — through feedback, stories, co-creation, and real connection. We love seeing people get outside in our gear, doing life their own way. It’s why we do what we do.
What does “doing outdoor gear differently” mean to you?
It means being thoughtful about every decision — from the materials we use to the partners we work with. We’re proud to be a B Corp, and we work hard to minimise our impact and maximise our positive contribution. Sustainability isn’t a trend for us — it’s a responsibility.
